32nd National VET Research Conference ‘No Frills’ finally open for registration
The 32nd National VET Research Conference, “No Frills,” is finally open for registration. This year’s conference is hosted jointly by RMIT University and the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) and is scheduled to take place from 19 to 21 July 2023, at the Storey Hall of RMIT University’s Melbourne City Campus.
No Frills 2023 Conference Keynote speakers
The National VET Research Conference ‘No Frills’ is not your typical industry event. The conference will feature an exceptional lineup of keynote speakers, including:

Share Your Insights: Abstract Submissions Open for NCVER Conference No Frills 2023
Are you in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) business? If so, you don’t want to miss out on the 32nd National VET Research Conference, No Frills 2023. The conference will take place from Wednesday, 19 to Friday, 21 July 2023, at RMIT University Melbourne City Campus. The conference theme is “Skilling Australia’s current and future workforce,” and abstract submissions from all parts of the VET sector, including industry, government, practitioners, peak bodies, and researchers, are still being accepted. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 10 March 2023.

Important Reminders about the National VET Research Conference
RTO AVETMISS Data Reminder
Important AVETMISS data reminder: If you have not submitted your 2022 AVETMISS fee-for-service activity to NCVER, you only have three days left. The collection window for receipt of data will close at 5 pm (ACDT) on 28 February 2023. NCVER cannot grant extensions or exemptions to reporting, so please speak with your VET Regulator if required.
Note on STA submission
If you’ve already submitted your fee-for-service activity to a state training authority (STA) and received confirmation that it will be forwarded to NCVER, there’s no need to submit the data again. However, if you’ve received a file from NCVER to report aggregate data due to a VET Regulator exemption under the National VET Data Policy (sections 5.3 and 5.5), you must submit the data by 5 pm (ACDT) on 31 March 2023.
